Over three million copies of his Nellie Nifty, RN book collections and greeting cards in five languages have helped people get well sooner.

Nurse Nellie cartoons have appeared in newspapers and magazines in 21 countries and were awarded the Palma d'Oro, the highest prize in international cartooning at the 19th International Salon of Humor in Bordighera, Italy.

Larry Katzman leads a double life. By day he is an electrical engineer and inventor, holding over one hundred patents and trademarks, and is the Chairman of Kaz International, the world's largest manufacturer of electric vaporizers/humidifiers. On evenings and weekends he may be found moonlighting as Kaz the cartoonist and as the author of HeadLines acrostic-type puzzles.

He is a long-time director and officer of the National Cartoonists Society and its charity arm, The Milt Gross Fund, and recipient of the Silver T-Square Award for service to the organization. He serves on the board of directors of a number of business organizations.

Mr. Katzman lives in New York City with his wife, Shirley. They enjoy wandering around the world and skiing in the Alps, Rockies and Andes..
