Tom Vogel was born in Offenburg, Germany in 1969 and moved to Australia with
his
parents in 1978.

After working various jobs as a bathroom tiler, bar tender, telemarketer,
waiter, scanner operator, television extra, etc, he has now embarked on a
successful career as a graphic designer running his own company and of course
as a successful cartoonist

Cartoons that have been published by Tom include the cartoon strip "MyWeek"
which ran for two years in Leader Newspapers, the cartoon strip "Le Salon" ,
"Pigs" which ran in the The District Reporter in Sydney and various one panel
cartoons for Die Woche
(a german newspaper),.

Tom Vogel has contributed his work to such charity foundations as Odyssey
House, Children of Chernobyll and the exhibition "Drawing on Human Rights" for
Amnesty International.

His current project is a five minute animation project entitled "Jumping
Kangaroos". This animation is based on one of the songs that was distributed on
an audio tape with a children's colouring book, which was alson illustrated by
Tom.
